Admission & Application
Step 1: Become a Pre-International Studies (PINS) Major
All students who want to major in International Studies must first declare and complete the requirements for the Pre-International Studies Major (PINS). Please visit the pre-major page to learn more about this portion of the major!
Step 2: Apply to the INTL Undergraduate Major
INTL Applications are now ONLINE!
Please note: The online application does need to be complete to be submitted. Review the sample application below so you are best able to complete the application in one sitting.
Once the pre-major requirements have been met, students may officially apply to the INTL major. The deadline for applications is always 4pm on Monday of Week 4 of Fall, Winter and Spring Terms. Applications are not accepted during Summer Term.
Apply as soon as you are eligible! Students may not apply to the major in the same term they wish to graduate. Being in the major also opens you up to scholarship opportunities exclusively for INTL majors.
Pre-major advising and help with application procedures are available in the INTL undergraduate advising office. New major applicants must meet with an International Studies undergraduate advisor to confirm completion of PINS requirements and to review the INTL major application before submitting it for consideration.
Winter 2019 Applications are due at 4 pm on Monday, January 28 at 4 p.m.
Step 3: Attend the New Major Orientation!
After being accepted into the INTL program, all new majors are required to attend the INTL New Major Orientation. Pay close attention to your email so you learn about the upcoming orientation dates for your cohort!
