I could just eat it up!

International Studies professor and director of the UO Food Studies program, Stephen Wooten, was mentioned in a recent article in Around the O, “Museum seeks recipes, photos and stories about family meals,” which you can check out here.

The Museum of Natural and Cultural History is seeking images and stories of the meals that Eugene residents cook and enjoy with one another. Stephen comments on the project: “By focusing on the meaningful aspects of food in such an intimate, hands-on way, it helps bring the power of many different foodways into our day-to-day lives.”

If you love to cook and want to share stories of a meal that’s meaningful to you, you’re in luck! The museum rents out “kits” to participate in this local food project. You may send an email to Murphy at lyle@uoregon.edu with questions or to make a reservation.
