img_0799* Would you like to participate in bi-cultural (the US and Russia) exchange on youth welfare this academic year? 

* Are you interested in traveling to Russia this summer and learning about youth challenges in both countries?
If you answered  “yes” to the mentioned-above questions, this opportunity is for you!

Two Informational Sessions about this opportunity will be held on November 15 (Tuesday) from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and on November 16 (Wednesday) from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at PLC # 348).

There will be 8 fellowships available for qualified students to go to Russia that will cover air tickets, room and board.

The “Prevention Bridges to Youth Positive Change” Project won the US-Russia Peer-to Peer Award this academic year. This is our second exchange project with our Russian partner-organization that we are working together on with the assistance of UO faculty and students.

In February 2017 (dates TBA), the International Studies Program will host a ten-day seminar on youth welfare for project participants from Russia. All selected students will take a one-credit seminar during winter and spring terms to get ready for participating in all project activities.

At the beginning of July 2017 (dates TBA) our Russian partner organization will host a ten-day summer school in Stavropol Region, Russia for both Russian and American project participants.
